The cornerstone of Washington National Cathedral was laid by President Theodore Roosevelt in 1907. 93 years later, this stained glass window was installed by President Bill Clinton in April 2000. The final stained glass window, the one that completed the cathedral nearly a century in the making, depicts the exploration of space, something unthinkable when the cathedral's construction was begun. The space window can be found approximately 1/3 of the way up, on the right hand side when facing the high altar. The blue dot at the center of the crimson disk is a piece of the moon.
